Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) is the prime official agency responsible for the collection, compilation, and dissemination of reliable and timely statistical information, which is essentially required for the policymakers, planners and researchers. The main function of PBS is to conduct various Censuses and Surveys which also includes National Accounts and various reports/publications on the economic situation and social aspects of the country based on primary and secondary data. The Ministry is looking for a qualified, vibrant, energetic and expensed individual forth the following position.

FUNCTIONAL MEMBER (RESOURCE MANAGEMENT)

QUALIFICATION AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

. Qualifications: Masters or an advanced University Degree in Human Resource Management, Finance, Law, Economics or relevant qualifications (sixteen years’ education) from an HEC recognized university, or preferably, from a leading International University.

. Skills: Be a professional with demonstrated technical knowledge of human resource management, administration, budgeting, audit-related issues, coordination, planning, litigation, legislative matters.

. A minimum of 1 5 years’ experience with at least five years in a senior management position within an organization of significant size and importance.

. Knowledge of necessity and importance of sustainable development goals (SDGs)

. Knowledge and experience of issues related to personnel administration including but not restricted to recruitment, career planning, training, disciplinary matters, and administrative issues, etc.

. A sound understanding of the Government Management system would be an advantage.

. Salary: Management Position-Il (MP-II) Scale.

. Age: Between the age of 45 and 61 years.

. The term appointment is Four (04) years and shall be eligible for re-appointment for such terms or terms subject to satisfactory performance. The individual will cease to hold the post on completion of the term or attaining the age of sixty-five (65) years whichever is earlier.

. Those already in Government Services should apply through proper channel. In the case of selection for the post, the candidate will have to resign or seek retirement before joining.

. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

. Selected individual will be responsible for supervising the work of sections under his/her command and to assist the Chief Statistician in the dispensation of the assignments in the relevant fields.
