MINISTRY OF NATIONAL FOOD SECURITY & RESEARCH

Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), an apex body for agricultural research in Pakistan, is looking for dynamic and eminent Agriculture Scientists I Research Managers having proven leadership in Strategic Planning, Implementation and Management of Agricultural Research with capabilities in formulation of research policies and coordinated programs for the following vacant positions of Whole Time Members and Director General, in NARC in the disciplines mentioned against each:

I) Ph.D. in the relevant field of Crop. Sciences I Natural Resources I Animal Sciences I Social Sciences respectively

from H EC recognized the diversity of international repute.

ii) At least 22 years of proven experience in R&D organizations I recognized institutions of research I higher learning public! private sector including experience in managing a multi-disciplinary group of scientists and researchers with 15 years post Ph.D. teaching or research experience in HEC recognized institutions..

iii) Minimum 15 research publications in HEC recognized refereed journals I books.

iv) The appointment of Members will be made on tenure basis for a period of three years in accordance with PARC

Ordinance, 1981 & Rules, 1984.

I) Ph.D. in any of the Agriculture-related Sciences from HEC recognized university.

ii) 22 years experience

above, with 15-year

experience at post

institutions.

iii) At least 10 years of experience in an agricultural research management position.

iv) 15 research papers in relevant

journals. Papers published in

etc. will be considered as additional professional qualifications/expertise.

The post of DG, NARC is purely temporary vacancy sanctioned on year to year basis but likely to continue for an indefinite period in case of appointment in SPS-12. Appointment in MP-ll will, however, be governed by the relevant rules governing such an appointment in MP Scales.

THER CONDITIONS & REQUIREMENTS

I). Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, implementation, and management of multi-disciplinary agricultural search programs; ii) Demonstrated abilities to mobilize and utilize financial and human resources effectively; iii) Having strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; iv) Candidates must have first division OR CGPA 3.00 OR more in the highest degree with not more than one second division OR grade C in the academic career; v) Functions I Job description are available on PARC website (www.parc.gov.pk); vi) Max. age limit: 57years (in case of MP-ll, age limit shall be as per govt. rules); and vii) Nationality: Pakistani
