Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) is seeking a Manager for Center for Learning and Teaching. The key objective of the Center is to support/facilitate the faculty to optimally perform in their role as teachers and researchers. The Center offers a range of opportunities, for faculty and staff, to learn and professionally grow as practitioners in the context of higher education and specifically at FCCU (Please visit for further information on the role of CLT).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the head of the Center to:
    • Develop the annual strategic plan for the Center
    • Draft the monthly schedule of activities for final consideration
    • Administer and manage Turnitin accounts, offer one-to-one or group sessions for Turnitin usage
    • Administer and monitor blended courses (online and F2F) offered by CLT
    • Assure quality and monitor CLT activities
    • Mange national and international collaboration
    • Draft the yearly budget
    • Update record in the existing software to monitor the stipulated 36 hours of professional development of each faculty every year as per HEC requirement
    • Ensure a clean, collegial, attractive environment
  • Research support:
    • Develop evaluation/feedback forms in keeping with the requirement of the CLT program/activity
    • Tabulate, analyze evaluation/ feedback comments for future refinement of the activity/program
    • Research (esp. internet), analyze and interpret simple statistics/data and produce well written reports/documents as required
  •  Manage CLT activities:
    • Communicate timely information about scheduled activities across campus, ensure registrations, and provide necessary information to the resource person for the related activity
    • Organize the venue, and, logistics support for the activity
    • Work with ITS department to ensure that equipment is maintained in optimal working condition
  • Other Roles:
    • Maintain financial records in keeping with the rules and regulations
    • Liaise with concerned college offices/staff for administrative work as needed
    • Supervise the Office Helper to ensure the smooth functioning of the Center

Job Requirements

  • Qualification and Experience
    • A minimum qualification of MPhil/Foreign Masters or foreign BS with 2-4 years’ relevant experience
    • Fresh candidates can apply however candidates having experience of Learning Education and technology will be given preference.
    • Competitive benefits and salary to commensurate with experience
  • Knowledge:
    • Competent in English Language
    • Command over basic office management systems (record keeping, filing etc. of hard and soft folders)
    • Adept at office administration in keeping with FCCU procedures and systems as required
    • Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software, including the use of office applications
  • Skills:
    • English communication, speaking, listening, reading, writing
    • Time Management – Managing one’s own time and the time of others
    • Well versed in basic computer applications and usage of basic office equipment– General knowledge of using Software and popular computing applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom/Skype, Videocon
    • Be able to search for information over the net etc

    • Flexible and motivated to learn

    • Strong work ethics and integrity
