Duties & Responsibilities
PO preparation upon receipt of PFI/continued RFQ from SB
Obtaining PFI from a supplier after receiving POs from factories
Input of PO conditions (Import Schema) based on applicable HS Codes and other miscellaneous expenses
Timely creation/registration of CAD/LC and communication with supplier
Follow up on shipping documents and look for any discrepancies that may have arisen.
Maintain strong follow-up with suppliers to ensure timely submission of documents in bank to avoid any extra costs in the form of demurrages / margin held due to documentation delay.
Make advance arrangements for shipment clearance.
Follow up with the clearing agent on a daily basis to ensure that all prevailing customs benefits under SROs/FTAs are utilized. Ensure timely payment to suppliers/local vendors as per agreed payment terms.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree / Engineering / MBA from a reputable university
2 years or more of relevant experience in the relevant area of field
Criteria for Eligibility
Over a long period of time (3-5 years), in the imports operations
Has demonstrated the ability to manage supply success through correct and timely procurement transactions such as CAD/LC registration, SAP PO creation, and communication with carriers and customs agents.
Has demonstrated the ability to comprehend stakeholders’ requirements and provide transactional support.
Intermediate Microsoft Office and Excel Skills
When necessary, the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
