SCHOLARSHIP FOR A 4-YEAR BS PROGRAM
Scholarships for a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree Program have been awarded to Gwadar students.
(Announcement by the Prime Minister)
The Pakistani Higher Education Commission has announced a four-year bachelor’s degree scholarship programme for students from Gawadar, Balochistan, at top Punjabi universities, allowing them to pursue greater career possibilities through the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
During his visit to Gwadar on March 16, 2017, Pakistan’s Prime Minister made the following announcement

How To Apply HEC Scholarships 2022 – 50 scholarships will be awarded to students from Gwadar for BS (four years) classes that are equal to Master’s degree classes at Punjab-based universities.
Gwadar youngsters have been awarded 50 scholarships to study Chinese in China.
Inclusion of the Gwadar district in the Prime Minister’s National Health Insurance Program.
Eligibility requirements for a four-year bachelor’s degree scholarship
Applicants must have a District Gwadar Domicile/Local Certificate and have completed 12 years of formal education with a minimum of 50% marks in FA/FSc/I.Com/ISC/DAE or equivalent.
As of September 10th, 2019, the maximum age limit is 22 years.
Applicants who have received any other HEC/Government scholarship are ineligible.
Important Note: Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit solely to Gwadar Domicile holders.
Short-listed candidates will be chosen based on their Aptitude Test scores and academic credentials (Test will be conducted by HEC).
Students who are already enrolled in a four-year bachelor’s degree programme (for the 2019-2020 academic year) are strongly encouraged to apply.
WHERE DO I APPLY?
Foreign nationals and dual national Pakistanis are welcome to apply for admission to the following programmes: MBBS, BDS, Pharm-D, and BSc (Engineering).
How to Apply for Scholarships for Undergraduates in 2022
Online application procedure:
Create an online profile by clicking the link above and uploading all scanned copies of original documents.
Go to the Academics link in the LEFT Pane after you’ve completed your online profile.
After clicking Academics, go to Self Finance Schem and select Admission of Foreign Students, then go to the right side of the pane and click Application Form.
Fill in all of the fields on the right pane.
When the student is satisfied that all of the fields have been completed, he or she will click the submit button in the bottom right window.
The application status would show “Submitted” in the DASHBOARD after hitting the submit button.
NOTE: The system will only process “Online Submitted” application forms for the purpose of generating a merit list. Applications that have been “saved” will not be considered at any point during the admissions process.
CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY
Note: At the time of application submission and admission, the applicant must be a foreign national.
Criteria for Eligibility:
BDS & MBBS:
A student must have completed FSc/HSSC, A-level, or similar studies outside of Pakistan.
How To Apply HEC Scholarships 2022, Must have received a minimum of 70% in FSc/HSSC, A-Level, or equivalent as determined by an IBCC equivalence certificate, and must have passed at least three (03) obligatory subjects, namely Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics.
How To Apply HEC Scholarships 2022, Must have received a minimum of 550 points in each of the three subjects, i.e. Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics, on the provincial/regional admission test OR passed the SAT-II examination with a minimum of 550 points in each of the three subjects, i.e. Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics OR passed the Foreign MCAT with a minimum aggregate score of 500.
To be eligible for application, you must have a minimum aggregate merit score of 70% for MBBS and 60% for BDS.
Pharm.D
Minimum 60 percent marks in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics / Mathematics in HSSC or comparable qualification (in the form of an equivalency certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC)).
Engineering:
At least 60 percent in English, Chemistry, and Physics / Mathematics in HSSC or its equivalent qualification (in the form of an equivalency certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC)).
A verified TOEFL score of 500 or an IELTS score of 5.5 is required. Students whose medium of instruction at the higher secondary level was English, however, do not need to submit their language competence exam results.
Important Note to Students:
How To Apply HEC Scholarships 2022 – Students should be aware that dual nationals with a Punjab residence are not eligible for MBBS or BDS under this scheme. Instead, they can apply for open-merit seats reserved for dual national Pakistanis and Overseas Pakistanis with a registered Punjab residence. However, there is no residency requirement for Engineering and Pharm-D admissions.
