The Punjabi government has agreed to give ownership rights to all Katchi Abadis in the province, according to Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

The CM provided his or her approval while in charge of a meeting in the CM Office. He presided over the meeting when the concepts for giving the residents of Katchi Abadis ownership rights were discussed.

Elahi asserts that permission has been granted for the decision to grant the Katchi Abadis people ownership rights. The chief minister also requested the Board of Revenue’s final recommendations with relation to the granting of ownership rights.

He stated that all matters should be handled quickly and that prompt action be taken to give ownership rights to the Katchi Abadis within a legal framework. According to him, Katchi Abadis residents would receive ownership rights for parcels of land up to 10 Marlas, and a summary will be given to the cabinet.

The chief minister directed that all Katchi Abadis in Punjab be brought as soon as possible to his office.

To ensure that Katchi Abadis citizens obtain their legal entitlements, he gave the appropriate authorities the mandate to create a plan for the provision of basic services. A briefing was given to the chief minister by DG Katchi Abadis Punjab and SMBR.

He prayed for the progress and prosperity of the UAE, calling it the second home of Pakistanis.

In the condolence message, the CM lavishly lauded Afzal Ahmad’s services to the performing industry and offered his deepest sympathies to the grieving family.
