Selection Process

Each PNR&SC will announce the admission test date via their website.

The following subjects will use computer-based testing/e-testing:

English, math, physics, and general knowledge academic test

Only candidates who have been shortlisted will be contacted to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) at the appropriate PNR&SC and preliminary medical/interview. The following are the PET standards:

Candidates who pass the preliminary medical exam, interview, and physical efficiency test will be given application forms (PET).

Only those who have been meritoriously shortlisted will be invited to the ISSB test and interviews.

Candidates recommended by the ISSB will undergo a medical examination at the closest CMH or Naval Hospital.

Naval Headquarters will make the final decision in accordance with merit.

Note: Before reporting for the medical examination, the candidates are advised to have their teeth cleaned and ears waxed by a specialist physician.

Prospects

After two years of training, a permanent commission is granted, and after successfully completing the basic training, one of the following degrees is granted:

Branch of Operations: BS (Maritime Sciences)

Branch of Marine Engineering: BE (Mechanical)

Branch of Weapon Engineering: BE (Electrical)

Supply Division: BS (Supply Chain Management)

Note: Selected officers may be sent abroad for an MS or PhD depending on their aptitude and academic success.

Once rejected by the ISSB and once rejected by the GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection board, or twice rejected by the ISSB and GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection board.

For recommended applicants, tests are administered throughout the validity period of one year (since the ISSB, GHQ, NHQ, and AHQ Selection Boards are valid for one year only).

Additionally, candidates can register by going to the nearest Pakistan Navy Recruitment and Selection Center.

The deadline to register online is December 11, 2022.
