Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Hajj Policy March-2019 announced on website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. total 184,210 Pakistani pilgrims perform hajj this year including 40 percent of total through Private Hajj Scheme and 60 percent through government scheme. The additional 5,000 quota would be distributed among newly enrolled Hajj Group Organizers.

Under the government scheme, the Hajj dues will be: Rs436,975 for the northern region of the country including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan and Rahim Yar Khan, while the cost for the south region including Karachi, Quetta and Sukkur will be Rs426,975.

The charges are exclusive of the cost for qurbani (animal sacrifice) services, which can be optionally availed for another Rs19,451.

The aspiring pilgrims will be selected under the government scheme through a computerized ballot on March 11, 2019.

All Applications for Hajj 2019 under Government Hajj Scheme will be invited through Banks and selection of Hajji will be made through “Computerized Open Balloting” to be conducted by a third party.
