SWM (Solid Waste Management) has long been regarded as a neglected sector as a result of a lack of strong commitment on the part of the federal government. The Faisalabad City District Government (CDGF) established the Faisalabad Waste Management Company (FMC) in accordance with Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984.
The company is limited by guarantee and does not have any share capital, and it was established for charitable purposes in accordance with Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance. In the FWMC, the Board of Directors (BODs) is led by a Chairman and is responsible for the organization’s governance.
