Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro is announcing admission in the Online Diploma course in Family Health Care (DFHC) under the Distance Learning Program.
The purpose of this diploma course is to improve the medical care for the community & update the knowledge and skills of doctors in family health care. Applications on prescribed form are invited from medical graduates for admission in the Diploma for the session 2019-20.
FEE STRUCTURE
Application Processing Fee: Rs. 2500/- (Non-Refundable)
Admission and Tuition Fee: Rs. 36,000/- (One Year)
Workshop Fees: Rs. 11,000/-
Enrollment Fees: Rs. 1200/-
Examination Fees: Rs. 2530/-
MODE OF COURSE
Online lectures forTwo hours from 9 am to 11 am Monday to Thursday for 33 Weeks.
Lectures can be attended at LUMHS Jamshoro Campus, Lecture Hall at Research Lab LUH Hyderabad, Sindh Government hospital Qasim Abad, Seminar Room at Research Lab Mirpur Khas and Seminar Room of Research Lab Dadu.
Centers can be established by interested candidates jointly on a self-help basis at district government hospitals, PMA houses, and private hospitals. Centers will have to be equipped with computers/laptops, multimedia; internet facilities and power back up.
Individual candidates having internet facilities can also apply.
The course also includes three hands-on workshops on basic life support(BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation & Reproductive Health. The course also includes a one-month rotation in OPDs of major disciplines.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA’S TO APPLY
1. MBBS graduates from all over Pakistan & abroad
2. One year house job
3. Valid PMDC Registration Certificate
Admission to the course Admission committee LUMHS will have the right to admit a candidate in the course. Merit will be the criteria. Preference: will be given to Private General Practitioners with 5 years of practice having domicile of Sindh Province.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Admission forms are available at the office of focal person DFHC @ postgraduate medical center LUMHS Jamshoro or can be downloaded from the LUMHS website. Admission forms duly filled along with documents duly attested and pay order/ bank draft or bank challan of Rs.2500/- (Non-Refundable) in the name of DFHC LUMHS will have to be submitted before 30th December 2019.
After admission candidates will have to send a payment order? bank draft of Rs. 48200/- as full fee except for examination fees. Candidates can also send fees in two installments; first session fees of Rs. 30,200/- and Rs. 18000/- before the start of the second session. Examination fees will have to be submitted along with the examination form.
Assessment and Examination: A formative assessment BCQ online paper will be held at the end of first session. This will have a 10% weightage in the final examination. An attendance of 75% will have a further 10% weightage in the final examination. The final examination will comprise of theory (BCQ and SEQ paper) and practical (OSPE) at the Jamshoro campus.
Certificate: Diploma in Family Health Care (DFHC) will be awarded in LUMHS convocation
