Health Department. The government of Sindh invites applications from interested candidates for the following positions purely on a contract basis.

Director I Chief  Internal Audit Internal Audit Unit

Education Qualification & Experience

Member of a recognized body of professional accountants i.e. IFAC and holding qualifications such as CA. ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent.

In addition to the above, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) will be an added advantage. Over (07) years of post-qualification experience in internal audit, finance or compliance function in the public sector or related advisory services, including five (5) years of supervisory or project management experience

Must also have the following demonstrated knowled9e, skills and abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practices.
  • Good knowledge of the IIA Standards and Code of Ethics.
  • Knowledge of contemporary risk management and control techniques and working knowledge of contemporary control frameworks.
  • Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, arid practices.
  • Considerable knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Skillful in conducting quality control reviews of audit work.
  • Familiarity with the common indicators of fraud.
  • Considerable skill in conflict resolution, mediation, negotiating issues, and resolving problems.
  • Skillful in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheet, systems documentation, audit management packages, and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.
  • Considerable skills in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with customers, co-workers, staff, and external contacts, and work effectively in a professional team environment.

Assistant Director-Internal Audit Unit

(Two Positions) (Market Rate Remuneration)

Education Qualification & Experience:

Member of any recognized body of professional accountants such as

CA, ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA or Masters in Business Administration

(Finance / Risk Management) from an HEC recognized university. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) is preferable.

Over (5) years of post-qualification experience in internal audit, finance or compliance function.

Must also be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practices.

• Knowledge of contemporary risk management and control techniques and working knowledge of contemporary control frameworks.

• Considerable knowledge of the standards and Code of Ethics.

• Knowledge of contemporary risk management and control techniques and working knowledge of contemporary control frameworks.

• Working knowledge of risk and control self-assessment techniques.

• Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices.

• Considerable knowledge of industry programs, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.

• Familiarity with the common indicators of fraud.

• Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.

• Extensive skill In planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.

• Considerable skill in negotiating issues and resolving problems.

• Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, systems documentation, audit packages, and other business software to prepare work papers, reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.

• Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations for improvement.

• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with customers, co-workers, staff, and external contacts, and work effectively in a professional team environment.

Associate I Principal Auditor – internal Audit Unit

(Two Positions) (Market Rate Remuneration)

Education Qualification & Experience:

Affiliate or finalist of CA, ACCA. ICAEW or CIMA or Masters in Business Administration (Finance / Risk Management) from an HEC recognized university.

Minimum three (3) years of experience in internal audit, finance or compliance tuition.

Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Knowledge of internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practices.

• Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices.

• Knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.

• Familiarity with the common indicators of fraud.

• Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.

• Skill in negotiating iSSUO8 and resolving problems.

• Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, systems documentation, audit packages. and other business software to prepare work papers, reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.

• Skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations for improvement.

• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious team-oriented working relationships with co-workers and work effectively in a professional team environment.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years.
