Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme 2019-20 for Graduation and Master Degree

The British Council administers the following Scholarships for students and professionals who wish to study in the UK:

International Scholarships:

1. Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP)

2. Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust (CWPT)

3. Chief Minister Faculty Development Programme for Faculty of Public Sector Colleges in Punjab

Offered Nationally:

    1. Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Bachelor’s Programme
    2. Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Master’s Programme

Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Bachelor’s 2019-20

The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Program funds graduate studies for Pakistani women in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan. Funded by the Scottish Government, these grants aim to make higher education more accessible to women, supporting them in achieving their potential and ambition.

For the very first time this year, the Pakistan Scottish Scholarship is being offered at the undergraduate level for a four-year bachelor’s degree as well.

British Council will administer the scheme in Pakistan and coordinate with selected scholars and universities either directly or through nominated university focal persons.

The Award

Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme will facilitate award-holders with the following:

    1. Tuition fees for courses in eligible fields
    2. University hostel costs (where applicable) 
    3. Travel to and from home to university two times a year for students staying in on-campus hostels

Subject Areas

The scholarship will cover a four-year bachelor’s degree at an HEC-recognised Pakistani university in one of the following subject areas only:

    1. Education 
    2. Sustainable Energy
    3. Food Security and Agriculture
    4. Health Sciences

Eligibility Criteria

These scholarships are open to female applicants only. In addition, applicants must:

    1. Be Pakistani nationals currently residing in Pakistan  
    2. Be pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree in the above-listed subject areas
    3. Hold a confirmed admission offer from an HEC recognized university in Pakistan 

Young women with disabilities, from rural areas and/or minority groups are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply

    1. A complete application will include:
    2. A duly filled out application form 
    3. Scanned copy of CNIC
    4. Scanned copy of transcripts
    5. Proof of admission and/or enrolment at the bachelor’s level
    6. Tuition fee form 

Applications for the Pakistan Scottish Scheme Bachelor’s program are now open. The last date to submit the application is 30 August 2019.

The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Program funds graduate studies for Pakistani women in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan. The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Master’s levels funds a maximum two-year master’s degree for Pakistani women in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan.

British Council will administer the scheme in Pakistan and coordinate with selected scholars and universities either directly or through nominated university focal persons.

The Award
